"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"The running is what I'm seeking. It's enjoyable."

Along with Cisse's six goals on his first game, Ireland has netted eight in three appearances for Wythenshawe, while Boyd hit five on his first appearance and Joleon Lescott, a centre-half by trade, notched a triple in one game as a striker.

Wythenshawe are top of the Premier Division with three victories from three and a goal difference of plus nineteen.
